Kay's Story
Hi to all of you from my past. After graduation I attended college and graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Home Economics. I married Jim Grooms in Aug. of 1963. We had 3 boys and I mostly did substitute teaching. Once the boys were in high school I went back to teaching for a few years and did many other things, including working in floral shops, selling furniture, manufactured homes then did what I REALLY loved---began my own Flora...Expand for more
l and gift shop. I did that for 13 years in Baker City. Jim had retired so was anxious for me to also. We celebrated our 40th anniversary in Hawaii and decided that was where we wanted to retire. I loved it--Jim not so much. After 5 years we are back in Meridian where two of our sons live with our grandchildren. I now get my "kicks" working part time as a designer at a local floral and gift shop. Looking forward to being closer to family and friends.
